Every story has a beginning. This is mine.
I left Singapore with a suitcase, a camera, and a stubborn kind of courage. Canada was a new beginning, literally half a world away from everything I knew. Photographs became my anchor, a proof of love, memory, and belonging.
This passion didn’t begin in studios or classrooms, but in the ache of homesickness and the quiet work of building a home and a career. My camera became my memory keeper, preserving the moments and emotions I wanted to live forever.
For over a decade, I built a career in the corporate sales world. Sales targets, deadlines, and spreadsheets became my every day. On the outside, it looked steady. On the inside, my fire belonged elsewhere. Every time I lifted my camera, I felt closer to myself than I ever did at a desk.
So I chose differently. I chose to chase what sets my soul on fire.
Now, I am a natural light photographer in Ottawa, creating cinematic portraits where emotion meets light and shadow. My work isn’t just about capturing faces, it’s about telling the stories you’ll never want to forget.
My vision has always been to photograph people as they truly are: the heart of their own stories. That’s why I tag my images with FMC (female main character) or MMC (male main character). Inspired by my love of books, it’s my way of saying: you matter here, in this frame, in this chapter. Everyone I photograph is the main character, and my role is to honor that with depth, truth, and beauty. Capturing you as you are today, while preserving your story for tomorrow.
This is my chapter now, one built not on fear, but on memory, emotion, and the belief that some moments deserve to live forever.
